Duration:   1 Day

Course Fee:   RM 399.00

Qualification:   E- Certificate of Threading

Course: Hands-On Practical : Eyebrow threading theory focuses on the use of a twisted cotton thread to precisely trap and remove hair from the root. This traditional hair removal method is well known for its geometric precision, allowing practitioners to create clean, well-defined eyebrow shapes without the use of harsh chemicals on the skin.

Techniques Covered

  • Butterfly Technique

  • Traditional Technique

The Mechanics and Theory of Threading

1. Tension and Friction

At its core, threading is based on the simple principles of physics — tension and friction. A thin cotton thread is tied into a continuous loop and twisted at the center to create a figure-eight shape. As one side of the loop is widened while the other is narrowed, the twisted center rolls smoothly across the skin. This precise rolling motion traps unwanted hairs and removes them cleanly from the root, resulting in a neat and defined finish.

2. Pain Management

Since threading removes hair directly from the root, a mild stinging sensation may occur. However, several effective techniques can help minimize discomfort during the procedure:

  • Skin Stretching
Keeping the skin taut during threading helps prevent the thread from pinching or pulling the skin, making the treatment more comfortable and precise.

  • Application of Powder
A light dusting of translucent powder helps absorb excess oil and sweat, allowing the thread to glide smoothly over the skin without unnecessary friction or irritation.

  • Soothing Aftercare
Applying aloe vera gel or a cold compress immediately after the treatment helps soothe the skin, reduce redness, and provide a calming effect.
